Our history

Ulinco Group - experience, knowledge and craftsmanship

Our history stretches far back in time, more specifically to 1974 when Ulinco was founded by Christer Ulin. With expertise in the rubber industry since 1964, he laid the foundation for a business built on experience, knowledge and craftsmanship.

The company started as an agency in rubber and continued to grow along the way with its own factory and close partnerships with global technology leaders. As a result, Ulinco Group is today a strong partner to Nordic industry in polymer components and rubber technology solutions.

1974

The business started in 1974 on Kungsgatan in central Gothenburg as a subcontractor of rubber components to Swedish industry. The company was, among other things, a representative of the British Avon Rubber Plc.

1982

After our first 8 years on Kungsgatan in Gothenburg, we joined forces with Rune Bäckmans gummitekniska verkstad and established ourselves in Gullbergsvass. With our own factory, an experienced service organisation and a well-established trading business, together we became 'rubber professionals' and a total supplier to our customers.

1994

Operations moved to Sisjön and we became one of the first companies in the industry to be quality certified according to ISO 9001 and later also environmentally certified according to ISO 14001. Around the turn of the millennium, the company developed strongly in close customer partnerships with leading industries throughout the Nordic region.

2006

Vulctech, formerly a business area within Ulinco, became an independent company in the group. Now with a focus on being able to target larger customers in wear and corrosion protection and other rubber technology installations. This gave the company the opportunity to wholeheartedly reach a new target group and continue the journey forward.

2013

We completed the divestment of the business area working with masks and plastic components. Ulinco AB's operations could now focus entirely on rubber components and technical solutions. At the same time, we further increased our capacity by investing in larger premises in Landvetter.

2016

We were certified under OHSAS 18001, relating to systematic work environment management, later replaced by the ISO 45001 standard. Health and safety is an important part of our work and it is a certification that we value highly.

2018

We acquired Ferroscandia AB with a focus on railway applications and vibration damping based in Stockholm. We then continued our growth journey and in the same year we acquired Industrigummering i Falun AB. Industrigummering is a strong player in its region and has good relationships with local companies.

2022

We established Lasotex as a group company with operations in Romania through the acquisition of a well-established business in advanced corrosion protection and rubber engineering installations.
