Production methods

Calendering (rubber sheet)

Calendering is used to produce rubber sheets by pressing rubber between rotating rollers.

First, the rubber material is mixed and prepared. It is then fed into the calender, where it is pressed between two or more heated rollers to form a thin, smooth rubber sheet. The finished sheet is cooled and rolled up on reels.

Advantages of this method include high production speed, uniform thickness and consistency of the finished product. Limitations can be limited complexity of the mould and initial costs of the calender.

This technology is widely used to produce rubber sheets, coatings, membranes and reinforced textiles, which are used in the construction, automotive and textile industries, where uniform thickness and durability are key requirements.
