EPDM - Ethylene propylene rubber
Ethylene propylene rubber (EPDM) is a synthetically produced elastomer characterised by its excellent weatherability and resistance to ozone, UV radiation and ageing. It is also known for its good chemical resistance to acids, bases and polarised media.

However, EPDM has some limitations in terms of resistance to oils and solvents, which may affect its use in applications where these factors are present to a high degree.
Ethylene propylene rubber is used extensively in the construction and automotive industries for seals, gaskets and insulation where long-lasting outdoor performance and resistance to weather conditions are essential.
It is also used in the water and wastewater industries, as well as in the manufacture of hoses and rubber profiles where flexibility and durability are key characteristics.
